If a small office or a separate room needs event reports from wired sensors, the Chasovoy-1M is considered a GSM informant. It receives the signals of the connected system and uses a coordinated alert. The manufacturer’s description for the old 1M includes three wired inputs and SMS dial notifications. Prior to the purchase, determine the events, responsible recipients and the order of reaction. A whistleblower helps convey an event; it does not replace the sensors themselves and the predetermined course of action of employees.
Separate 1M, 1MT, BOX and 3×4
There are different configurations in the family. For our own product, we are considering the Chasovoy-1M: the card indicates three wired inputs, two outputs and the absence of a built-in battery charge. The 1MT version refers to a separate configuration with a temperature function, the BOX features a power supply package, and the later 3×4 has a different configuration. The manufacturer announced the withdrawal of the old 1M from production in 2014. Therefore, the warehouse purchase is agreed on the actual marking, documentation and the ability to service this particular instance; the functions of the new device are not assigned to it.
Power supply and communication are the task
For the old 1M, external power supply is specified in the documentation. If you want to save the operation when the network disappears, power supply and reserve are designed separately taking into account the entire set, including connected sensors. By the mere presence of terminals, it cannot be considered that the device charges the battery. It is also necessary to confirm the availability of the required GSM service and the operation of the selected SIM card on the spot. Setting up with a PC is considered for the applicable program, cable, and computer. This is not a modern LTE router and not a DVR: the required function is formulated before choosing the equipment.
How to adopt a system for the office
Make a list of sensors, events and recipients. When matching, sensor interfaces and a circuit are needed, not just the number of free inputs. After setting up, check the delivery of messages and dial in the agreed scenario, then the envisaged actions when restoring power supply. All conditions are fixed together with a specific set.
